Miss Audrey received a surprise on Tuesday. The 1st graders sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" in her office. It was the best Christmas card ever!

Good Choices Assembly

Congerville Elementary School was invited, along with Goodfield and Davenport Elementary Schools, to attend a Good Choices Assembly on Tuesday afternoon. This assembly was hosted by the Eureka High School Student Council. The students were able to meet the Eureka High School Boys' Basketball Team, Girls' Basketball Team, Pep Band, Cheerleaders and Student Council Exec Board. The event ended with a speech on how to make good choices. It was a fun afternoon and the students had a wonderful time.

1st grade Thanksgiving Program

Mrs. Barbara Baner's 1st grade class performed their annual Thanksgiving program today with the Goodfield 1st graders at Goodfield Elementary. They also went to the Apostolic Christian Nursing Home in Eureka. After all the performing, they went to Hardee's to enjoy their lunch.

In observance of Veterans’ Day, Mr. Berardi visited classrooms and shared experiences from his service in the United States Navy with the students. Congerville Elementary is a Top Rated School!

The Peoria Journal Star has reported that Congerville Elementary School is among the TOP FIVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS for ISAT results in Central Illinois. This includes a ten-county area. Goodfield Elementary School also made the top five list among elementary schools and Eureka High School made the top five list for high school PSAE results.

In this morning's Chicago Sun Times, it lists Congerville Elementary School as #22 out of the top 50 schools in the state of Illinois. Congerville was one of three schools south of I80 on the list. This is out of 2,192 schools which puts our school in the 99th percentile of all schools in the state.

The Congerville Fire Department gave a presentation to the students & let the older students hold the fire hose. We feel very fortunate to have such dedicated fire fighters & rescue workers that are always ready to help us if we need them.

Magic School Bus

On Friday, Sept. 23rd, Mrs. Sally Rader's 3rd grade class took a field trip to Camp Wokanda in Chillicothe. While there, they enjoyed the Chinquaupin Folk Music & Storytelling Festival.

Monical's Pizza Night

Congerville Elementary PTO is sponsoring a fundraiser at Monical's Pizza tonight, September 20th. You will need a flier when you order a pizza so the school can receive a 20% donation from Monical's. A flier must accompany the order for the donation to be applied. Fliers are available at the school. Call the school office and Audrey will send however many you need home with your child. Participating Monical's Pizza locations are: Morton, East Peoria, Washington, and Peoria at 4100 W. Willow Knolls. Please support this worthy (and tasty) cause!

Congerville Fundfest

Congerville Fire & Rescue will hold their annual Fundfest this Saturday, September 10th. The day will start with breakfast at the firehouse from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. Dinner will be at the Congerville School from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m., with the auction starting at 7:00 p.m. Come on out and support this worthy cause!

Moths & Butterflies

Mrs. Carla Fischer's 2nd grade class released butterflies that hatched from their chrysalises over the weekend. They also released a very beautiful moth that was brought in by one of the students.
